A lot of my engagement / pre-wedding sessions take place at the actual venue where the couples will be getting married. It’s a good opportunity to try out something that might seem a little unorthodox, like can you get in that tree in a wedding dress? or will we get all our bridal party on this log? However, sometimes it’s nice to be able to go somewhere new or a place which holds special memories but is not connected to your wedding venue. Helen and Jason were looking for ideas of where to photograph their engagement session and wanted it to be somewhere romantic, local and not too busy. The place they decided on I had heard of it but I had never been to it.
Until I met Helen and Jason I had no idea that this little treasure trove of a place existed. Believe it or not! I used to live in Milton Keynes and for quite a few years I used to work very near to Campbell Park. For them it was perfect and what better way to make use of a perfect sunny day than to have a celebratory picnic, followed by a romantic stroll.
Engagement sessions are always a wonderful opportunity to see how you feel in front of my camera and how comfortable you are with the directions I give. Helen and Jason are so natural together and a lot of fun to be around, the afternoon went very quickly. They are just the cutest couple, I think you can see what I mean just by looking at their photographs.
I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding next May, it’s going to be one of my favourites, I can already tell x
Until next time.
